Cohiba Siglo series is quite popular amid the Cohiba brand’s fans. There are lots of aficionados that are attracted by this series, but more than anything they are attracted by the Cohiba Siglo II cigars. I am also very attracted by the beauty and the flavors of these cigars, so I’ve spent $260 for a whole box.

Appearance & Construction

Cohiba Siglo II cigars are probably the best looking cigars released by the Cohiba brand. These short, brown sticks are very beautiful and eye- catching. Their small surface is covered with oiliness, and no matter how much you struggle you will barely discover one- two veins. The texture of them is very pleasant, almost silky.

01

When it comes to the construction of these sticks you will not be able to find something with which you can compare. They are extremely firm and well rolled. There were no draw or burn issues with the cigar smoked for the review. Moreover, I was surrounded the entire time by some thick and flavorful smoke.

Taste

cohibasigloii

If you need to taste something out of common, just light up a Cohiba Siglo II cigar. This stick will never disappoint you because it has inside it a complex bouquet of aromas. The cigar starts a bit mild, but you will not get time to get used with this because it evolves very fast into medium. The predominant flavors that can be found within this stick are those of roasted beans, fresh grass, tobacco, and some cream.

Value

These sticks are not expensive at all despite being highly qualitative and very famous. I am glad that they are so accessible. This means that I can purchase another box.

Cohiba-Pirámides-Extra

When I want to spoil myself I smoke a Cohiba cigar. This is because I know that inside the Cohiba cigars can be found lots of noteworthy flavors. I’ve tried lots of blends released by this brand, but only one created a powerful impact upon me. Cohiba Piramides Extra cigars are those cigars that cannot replace anything.

Appearance & Construction

This is what I call a perfect stick. What am I holding into my hand right now it is difficult to describe using common words. I can use words as stunning or outstanding, but I still feel that those words are not enough. This cigar has a captivating and refined wrapper of a brown color and with plenty of oiliness on its surface. I’ve only noticed one vein, but that because I’ve checked the cigar thoroughly. What made me fell even more for this stick was the fact that around my nose had reached some subtle hints of tobacco and cedar.

20121014_132411

The cigar was very solid built. I couldn’t find any issues regarding its construction. The ignition was easy, the draw was perfect, not too tight or too loose, and the burn was straight with ash that had hold for more than an inch and with a lot of velvety smoke.

Taste

The Cohiba Piramides Extra cigars must be smoked slowly for enjoying each inch. Inside these sticks many flavors can be found. For example, I have discovered notes of salt, leather and pepper in the first third of the stick. The next two thirds brought me notes of earth, nuts, cedar, spiciness and premium tobacco.

Value

Considering their premium quality I say that the Cohiba Piramides Extra cigars are sold at a cheap price. Well, I don’t really mind it.

It’s been two years since the release on the market of the H. Upmann Robustos LE 2012 cigars. I’ve searched for these cigars on the market for a very long time, before finally I have succeeded in purchasing them. You probably know that the limited editions are the rarest ones on the market.

Appearance & Construction

Usually, limited edition cigars have a spectacular aspect. Well, these H. Upmann Robustos LE 2012 cigars have disappointed me. They’ve had a rustic look, with a lot of veins, which were quite rough. The cigar was not looking how I’ve expected. However, the only thing that could attract someone’s attention was the amazing color of the wrapper, which was similar with the color of the chocolate. Also, the surface of it had a lot of oiliness.

I was clearly disappointed by the aspect of this cigar, but the construction made me very happy. It was a firm cigar, without any defects. This robusto stick provided me with a perfect draw and a straight burn. I’ve also got a grey ash that had hold for almost two inches.

Taste

20121005_152227

Before igniting the cigar I have felt hints of premium tobacco and cedar. I couldn’t resist anymore and I have ignited the cigar. It rewarded me with a thick and aromatic smoke alongside with notes of pepper, caramel, oak and leather.

The first part of the cigar is extremely complex and generous. It brings notes of honey, earth, caramel, oak, nuts, leather, and coffee. The second part is also generous bringing notes of earth, coffee, cocoa and wood. The last part is sweeter than the first two parts bringing delicious flavors of chocolate, leather, oak, and coffee and at the end some spiciness.

Value

H. Upmann Robustos LE 2012 is not a very affordable cigar, and it is also difficult to find. However, it is one of the most flavorful cigars I’ve ever smoked.

CUABA_Exclusivos

Cuaba Exclusivos are cheap and qualitative cigars. These sticks are available on the international market in wooden boxes with 25 cigars each. I have purchased a box with these cigars at the recommendation of a friend of mine. He assured me that I won’t waste my cash in vain.

Appearance & Construction

I don’t have much trust in cheap cigars. They usually look ugly or have a bad taste. However, the first thing that relaxed me was the appearance of these cigars. They’ve had a charming aspect. I’ve had in front of me dark- brown colored cigars with oiliness on their surface, and which presented a couple of veins. However, those two veins were almost invisible, and like an experienced aficionado I could tell that the cigars were perfectly rolled.

There were also other things that captured my whole interest, for example, the construction of these sticks. When I’ve cut the cap of the cigar and checked it, I’ve noticed that the cigar was very consistent. Hence, the draw was just perfect, and I haven’t encountered any kind of issues in matter of burn.

Taste

Cuaba-Exclusivos

Cuaba Exclusivos cigars are mild in strength. They will not overpower you. So, if you just started your adventure in the cigars’ world, you should try these ones. You will find them to be very delicious and complex. They are sweet cigars that will offer you a delicious and long finish. Within these vitolas I have noticed notes of honey, cedar, fresh grass, hay and floral notes. All those flavors were kept in a perfect equilibrium.

Value

I believe that these cigars are cash worthy. However, the best of them can be achieved with at least a couple of years of aging.

Taste

This is a 100% authentic Habanos smoke. I don’t believe that it was meant especially for the novices, but still the cigar seemed to me a bit light in strength. However, the flavors are numerous, and sometimes they became quite intense. I will say to you that only in the first third of the cigar I have tasted notes of cedar, chocolate, coffee, pepper, tea leaves and some saltiness. Even now, I can still remember clearly the joy and the satisfaction felt while smoking this robusto stick. I’ve paired it with a black coffee, and the result was phenomenal.

Appearance & Construction

H. Upmann Magnum 46 Tubos cigars are beautiful. They come in packs of 3 cigars inserted in some eyes- catching tubes that have the purpose of maintaining the quality of the cigars. The tobacco leaves used for these cigars had been matured. The proof consists from the dark colored wrapper, which is also extremely oily. Montecristo Edmundo Tubos Review

Cigar’s characteristics

Country of origin: Cuba

Size: 135 mm

Ring gauge: 52

Format: Edmundo

Hand- made cigars

Price: approximately $221

Edmundo Tubos cigars appeared on the market a few years ago. Everyone has heard about the original Edmundo cigars, so they had showed a great interest for the tubes version of them. The cigars are usually sold in packs with three cigars. Each cigar is inside an aluminum tube that protects it from harm. The price is okay, so I’ve also purchased a pack with these cigars.

Appearance & Construction

Montecristo Edmundo Tubos cigars are firm and solid constructed. Once with their flawless construction comes and a very attractive appearance. They are very oily, delicate at touch, and intensively perfumed. The brown- dark chocolate wrapper shows the fact that they are matured, and on its surface you can barely see some thin veins. These exquisite and flavorful cigars are a perfect fit with a fine cognac. When I’ve smelled the cigar I could distinguish the incomparable scent released by the tobacco grown in Vuelta Abajo. Also, it was such an intense smell that my mouth was almost watering.

Taste

Each third of the cigar is filled with countless flavors. All these flavors are perfectly balanced in order to offer to the smoker a memorable experience. At least, for me it was a memorable experience. I’ve distinguished in the two first thirds of the cigar superb notes of leather, cedar, earth, tobacco, coffee and many others. At a moment I was actually wondering if there are more flavors. And, they were there. During the last part I was once again “attacked” by notes of spice, pepper, coffee, earth and so on.

Value

Do I have to say more? These Montecristo Edmundo Tubos cigars are undoubtedly cash worthy. Their quality is beyond imagination.

Cohiba Mini – Cuban Cigars Reviews

Cigar’s characteristics

Country of origin: Cuba

Size: 82 mm

Ring gauge: 20

Factory: Mini Panetela

Handmade

Price per box: approximately $110

I am a huge fan of Cohiba Mini cigars. Why? Well, they are short, extremely flavorful, and highly qualitative and I can purchase them at a competitive price. So, imagine my frustration when I’ve noticed that in my humidor there were no more Mini cigars. So, the next thing I’ve done was to order from my favorite retailer a box with Cohiba Mini cigars. I knew that this retailer can provide me with those short, flavorful and highly qualitative cigars that I’ve wanted.

Appearance & Construction

As always, I get the finest cigars from this retailer. The order arrived quickly, and in the box was settled in two layers 25 short and beautiful Cuban cigars. I couldn’t resist anymore and I have taken one cigar in my hand. It was very light and short. The wrapper was looking amazing, very brown, soft and without veins. The construction of the Mini was also fantastic. I am sure that the best torcedors had worked to handcraft these cigars. I was very satisfied by the results of my short investigation upon the cigar.

Taste

I will always say that Cohiba Mini cigars are amid the tastier cigars from the Cohiba’s brand, and of course from the market. These short vitolas have inside them countless flavors, which are intense and very delicious. Don’t expect to have part of a mild cigar. Don’t judge something after its aspect. These short cigars have quite some strength within them. Also, the flavors are, as I’ve mentioned above, intense. I’ve discovered notes of wood, earth, tobacco and pepper.

Value

These cigars are an excellent deal. They are not expensive, and their quality is a top- notch one. I warmly recommend them.
